We are not into sensationalism, in contrast to many a tv programme. The masterpieces of the human spirit are sensational enough in their own right. Whether five-thousand-year-old ritual vessels, Gothic cathedrals or modern sculptures, they all tell exciting stories about their creators and their view of the world.
A DVD is the perfect medium for these stories. The camera reveals things the visitor might otherwise never see, brings details into focus and establishes interesting connections.
Informative texts open up new perspectives and complement the – often brief – captions and background notes on display at the exhibitions themselves. At Oculus Film we produce commentaries in more than thirty languages – narrated by professional voice-over artists in their mother tongue.
